Officially got the cooper the day after easter, and it was good… the cooper is risen. It is risen indeed! Yeah, the clutch has a totally different feel now which is a bit unfortunate – the original one had a nice feeling of resistance, but the new one just feels flimsy. Oh, well, just takes getting used to. The tranny shifts beautiful and I’m totally stoked to have the coop back. Not like I wouldn’t have been able to get by without that little guy or anything, but man do I like to drive it. As dad said, money comes and money goes, cars come and cars go – either decision is the right one – no need to fret. So I chose to put the cooper back on the road and just ride it out. Looking forward to rejuvenation part dos, which will be the tires and brakes. Part triple is that I ordered an extensive service manual for the c ride – need to replace a window motor on the drivers side so the luscious locks can blow free in the cool California breeze… think I’ll do that one myself.
