caffeine, thou art my saviour.
so today was just a 2-hour easy ride. sometimes, those are actually the hardest rides to get motivated for, though, because you're basically going nowhere, but you can't go *toooooo* slow because you want to get *some* kind of endurance effect out of it. and 2 hours - leaving from home, you're just going on the same routes over and over again. kind of tedious sometimes.
like 45 minutes into the ride, and all is crap. just no fun, no good feeling in the legs. blah. bikes are for idiots.
pass by a random coffee shop, then decide to turn around and get a drink. i mean, hey, this ride stinks, why not stink it up some more? double espresso and a trip to the drop zone.
back on the bike, and all of a sudden the birds are chirping and all is right with the world! i get to ride my bike today - yeh! now i'm cruisin and i just can't keep from smiling. sweet! yeah, just how it should be. the ride ends, and the appointedness continues.
hit the po to pick up some packages, get a sandwich, and into work to get this message out. even the guard at work is chipper with me - phat!
slow start to the day, but with a bit of divine intervention of the tasty kind, you can't hold me down. word.
